I know you're upset about losing the one that you love,

but we're supposed to be your gift from above.

We are your children and we need love and affection,

don't act as though we're some type of disease or deadly infection.

I know that you love us but sometimes it's deep down,

i hate it when i have to see that big sad frown.

Mom we will always be there for you and we will never leave,

Though others may come and go we will never deceive.

Mom wake up to reality you have kids to raise,

kids who love and need you in so many ways.

You complain about lost freedom and how you're missing out,

not knowing how it affects us when you scream and shout.

A mothers love is what a daughter needs when becoming an adult,

not to feel like some unwanted result.

Even though you lost your love you still have us to hold,

and it's his loss if he doesn't see your pure heart of gold.
