One lonely Friday in Mexico City, while everybody was on school or work, there was an innocent 9-year-old boy lost in the streets of the city, wandering around without his mother or any form of adult responsible around, he had only one expression on his face through all day, he seemed to be sad and depressed.

Around 8:00 pm, the little boy got to a very privileged part of the city where all the cars were luxurious, and all the houses were mansions, he was so impressed that he started knocking on every door trying to get any food or water, however, everyone told him to go away and some of them even called the authorities. So, there he was, a poorly dressed and hungry 9-year-old boy, who was trying to get through the day without starving, and not even the rich people would help him with anything. Later that night the little boy was so tired and hungry that he got into a small store and stole a piece of bread, he could not believe what he just did, he could get in trouble for his actions, but at least he was not hungry anymore.

The little boy started going to the exact same store every day for the next couple of months and in order to do the exact same thing as the first time he went, however, he started taking more and more every time, at the point that he stole money from the cash register.

Time passed and the boy became a teen, who was so used to steal in order to survive and without seeing any consequences that he started to believe it was normal, anyways he was so used to hear in the streets that politicians were corrupt and fraudulent that he saw no harm in what he was doing, so he started assaulting people on the streets in order to pay for a place to sleep.

One day, when he inside a grocery store, he saw on the televisions that were on sale that his face was all over the news and the reporters were saying that he was guilty of gun violence and assaulting different people.

It was soon after that the boy was so shocked and ashamed, that he went straight to the police station in order to surrender.

The state gave him 2 years in prison, however the first night was the worst, he has quiet, thinking and analyzing how did he ended where he was, but more importantly, where in the process did he lost himself.
