An Elders Pain
This Morning I woke up from my bed back aching barley able to see
I put on my glasses and make my way to my bathroom to pee
I put tea on the stove and sat in my chair
Looking out the window wondering why love was never there
No dates in high school no dates for prom
I sat inside my room hooked up to machines and going through surgeries
What does it mean the word love?
I hear it all over the city
I see it on tv and in movies
I never searched for love because i didn't know where to look
My doctors told me i never found love because I was too pre occupied with my pain
Not even morphine could make it go away
He told me to keep thinking positive and never to give up
I died and never found love.
I thought you would take a
I thought you would take a more romantic time lost and soulful take... but it was very good for a rush job :)
