It’s Just a fall

A nine years old child

Going to the grocery store

Mother instructed her child

To cross left , but she crossed right

For the vanilla ice-cream she adore

Don’t ask about

Ayssah’s miracles

In raising the dead

When she got hit by a truck

The wheels threw her body

On the roadway

Her head hit a harsh wall

The driver rushed out his truck

Feeling so guilty

Wondered what a nine year old child

Doing in a heavy traffic highway

He grasped her in his arms,

To rash to the nearest hospital

He was a stranger to the child

Not knowing his intend

She bitted his arm hard

Afraid of being kidnapped

He got so angry and shocked

Dropped her on the roadway

And ranaway

If she was taught enough to bite

She must be alright

He was the victim of her bite

People gathered in the seen

Wanted to help but afraid

She would scream

They watched her walking home

Bearing a broken shoulder

There faces were so stunned

Like they have witness a life miracle

The mother panicked asking,

“What happened?”

The child said,“It's just a fall”

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this real situation that happened to a nine year old child, what interested me in it,the reactions of the truck driver, he felt responsible and want to rush the child to the hospital, but he made no attempt to explain any of his action to the child.

when she bitted his arm as a spontaneous response, he dropped her angrily and runaway like he is the victim forgetting that he had hit her fragile body with his big blind truck, when she happened to appear in the highway.
Sometimes simple explanation of actions, we neglected make all the difference!!!
