Summer We Shared

I could never define what we shared together.

Summer upon summer, you were always there.

A part of my life, some way or another,

a friendship founded from God knows where.

You were trouble, for a troulbed heart,

I, Forbidden to be seen with you.

but no one ever saw, what I saw.

Summers faded into springs and falls,

Until one day, I never saw you at all.

Only a memory you became.

My life turned around, for the better it would seem.

But you brought joy into my life.

No matter what they told me was wrong or right.

In some way, I guess you'll always be there.

Every summer, and every summer we shared.
