Fabric of your Skin

Soon I will be able to hold you.

Not long ago it seemed like a dream.

Soon I will feel the fabric of your skin,

maybe the taste of your lips.

Dream upon dream your face sought mine eyes,

delicatly while I slept.

Emotionally, Intrigingly, you've held me while I wept.

Excitement fills my weary heart,

for soon a new venture unfolds.

Awake and still dreaming of you,

of stories you would have told.

The power of the emotion yet stands still,

as it seems not so far away.

Tomorrow will soon be not so distant,

from one more day away.

One day away from embracing your face,

every ounce of a smile.

To see you flinch, bear your teeth,

grin, and widen your eyes.

To touch the fabric of your skin,

to unravel the fabric of your heart.

To feel a kiss so deep within,

which we've been longing for,

from the start.

Soon I'll be able to breathe against you,

feeling your body breathe.

To feel you are no longer a shadow,

to know you're a human being.

The beating of my heart is nearer,

to thine, and worth anticipation.

Heightened, curiousity shines,

from a dream we will be awakened.

Will it be all that we expect?

Are expectations too high?

My heart is telling me this is right,

I've always believed in my heart.

Til then I dream of a sacred place,

where we will finally be.

Dreaming about the fabric of your skin,

..until we finally meet..
