In the middle of frustration

I took things out on you

I said words I didn't mean

Told you things untrue



I thought it'd make me happy

It only made me sad

I thought I would feel better

Now I'm feeling bad



I never meant to hurt you

I was angry at myself

But then I found that breaking me

Meant breaking someone else



The feelings haven't run away

They're playing hide and seek

Nothing will make them disappear

You'll always make me weak



But right now I just need a break

To fix my state of mind

Then maybe we can try again

And things will work out fine



But I could really use a friend

If we're still cool like that

Someone who can pick me up

When, again, I fall off track



Cause you can always lift me up

Put smiles on my face

Which makes me feel like ten times worse

For what I did today



I'm sorry for the pain I caused

For words that were untrue
