It Sucks To Be A Girl

Sitting here waiting for life to unfold

Constantly fearing the things you've been told

About changes your body goes through to get old

It sucks to be a girl

A little bit older, it's hard to fit in

You try and you try but you can't seem to win

Not overweight, but not quite thin

It sucks to be a girl

Hormones rage and feelings have changed

You're looking at guys and it feels really strange

Your list of goals has rearranged

It sucks to be a girl

Many dates later, a heart break or two

You're beginning to think that love isn't for you

Running in circles, not sure what to do

It sucks to be a girl

As time goes by, things fall into place

You've finally found someone to light up your face

Then you realize he's giving you way too much space

It sucks to be a girl

Miles down the road, you fall deep in love

Together you're granted a gift from above

You wanted a daughter, you're blessed with a son

It sucks to be a girl

But later in life while your grandchildren sleep

You reflect on your past and silently weep

You hated it then, now it hits you so deep

You were wrong about being a girl
