She had a penchant for marigold dresses matching the colour of her tresses and wore Mary Jane flats in electric blue. Though lowly regarded as an Artiste amongst those who pursue less lofty ambitions she was quite content in her own predicament and spent much of her time pedaling backwards as she rather enjoyed the view of the tsunami of unfinished oeuvre that was ever-threatening to engulf her. Adalin Adalade paid little attention to the goings-on around her, stayed focused on her own path barely glancing sideways, that is until the day she spotted a fellow in a violet suit following her on a bicycle built for two.

He tipped his pork-pie hat of plum velvet revealing a mauve mop of disheveled hair parting over pointy ears. His eyes had the same hue as his alligator shoes - all four an appealing shade of jade. In a voice which rang with a Leprechaun lilt he inquired "Young miss would you wish to take a turn about town with me as I seem to be lacking an extra pair of legs?"
As she felt no danger in the presence of this stranger Adalin Adalade answered "Yes!"
The gentle gent bowed low and with a flourish did bestow a heavenly-scented handful of newly-bloomed lilacs. She clapped her hands in surprised delight for never had anyone ever given her flowers before "My favorites!"
With a wily wink and sly smile he declared "I know. Now tell me young miss which way shall we go?"
