Juniper breezes from across the sea
Start to tease you because of me
In my hand your future lies
And I decide weather it lives or dies
Struggling with the wonder I see in your eyes
I suddenly feel myself begin to cry
Of all you have known
I am the one who has shown
Through your heart and your mind
Why wasn't I left behind
So many of your loves intertwined
And now you try to enter mine
I am afriad of what I see
Because of the things that are happening
To cause you pain is not a choice
Which is something I have to voice
But please try and see
If your path really ends with me
So sweet and innocent you are
I couldn't bare to do you harm
I know you want to see and share what's in my soul
But I doubt if the key will ever be sold
To human beings for they are so cold.
To truly understand the geography of my land
You must tightly grab my hand
And never let go
Or you will get lost in the snow
For I am a crystal ball
Inside and outside all
My outer shell is glass
Which keeps out the storm
But when abused spills everything on the floor
And my crystal ball
Is different from them all
The storm is ever raging inside
And doesn't need to be shaken to keep strong
Because it is forever long
No plows tread through this snowy bed
So when you lose your way
You will never get away
And so you see you will be trapped in me
Never to be set free
Now you know what worries me
So think hard and don't hurry please
Otherwise you might smell a juniper breeze
Which will take you to my sea
And there you will drown in the sorrow of me.
This is a lovely poem. I know you like it a lot which makes it that much better. It's always good when a poet like there poems. I think it's beautiful the way you responded to the poem that you were written and the imagery in this poem is spectacular. I hope you keep writting, because i know i'll keep reading.
