would you smile?

Folder:
Poetry

Does your life pass before your eyes?

As you look into mine?

As mine does when I gaze it your's:

a never ending, eternal, crystal sphere.

Are we together, though apart?

This may not be what they think is best,

But it feels right; it is right,

And I am happy.. for now.

So if you would ask me to hold you,

Would you smile while you said it?

Knowing the world would end there.

Do you see my lively heart.

In your broken hand? (I would mend it)

For once it is not my center which is bleeding.

Can you read the words,

I wrote upon your palm?

Amongst the scars and lifelines,

And even the stories that you have allowed

to fall there from your mouth.

Oh, how loose is your tongue,

But I love it.

So if you would ask me to hold you,

Would you smile while you said it?

Knowing the world would end there.
