Once upon a time I loved you,

And I watched you fade away,

From me, from all I thought I knew,

After promising you'd stay,

After lying directly next to me,

And opening up the world,

Your slipped right through my hands,

And floated to another girl,

I watch you and hope you feel alive,

Because all I'm allowed to feel is dead,

Your promises cannot escape me,

As they run inside my head,

You didn't stay to see my pain,

Just disregarded forever,

I should forget the holding on,

But it's all I have to remember our together,

I've come to accept that you don't love me,

I'll accept the rest in time,

Right now, I'm uncertain as to how I feel,

But I loved you, once upon a time.
