Poetry I don't want "the one", I'm not looking for him,
I know I won't find him right now,
I'm young and impressionable, only 14,
But I hope I will find him somehow,
What I am looking for is someone,
Who will hold me, and keep me safe,
Someone who will let me just lay in their arms,
And if they turn out to be one, that's just great,
I only want to be loved, and love him back,
Tell me, is that too much to ask?
I'm not looking for something to go on forever,
But something that just for a little while will last,
I just want a guy to kiss me goodnight,
A smile, a laugh, and a little fun,
It doesn't have to be perfect, I just want to be happy,
Like I said, I'm not looking for "the one".
