Do you ever have those days in life,

When things just seem to clear?

The day before you couldn't see right from wrong,

Thoughts kept trying to interfere,

Then in a quick, enlightening flash,

It all just seems to make sense,

Something changes right before your eyes,

And life doesn't seem so tense,

It's your sense of awareness,



That moment of clarity,

Those things that happen only every so often,

You have to appreciate their rarity,

You must act on those moments,

Because they soon will pass,

You realize what you really want,

So take a hint, you know they don't last.



It can be triggered by anything,

A glimpse of something you fear

The slight movement of a hand,

Or even a single lonely tear,

For me, it was a simple song,

It made me realize what I need,

I don't want to be in love with you anymore,

Without my feelings for you I will succeed.
