This guy doesn't seem
to be quite so bad.
Hopefully he has enough pay,
cause this minivan is sad.
He tells me its too dark out here
that he can't really see my face.
He wonders if we can't talk about it,
while he takes me some place.
I give him the address
of the Sunshine Inn.
For its way too late to back out now
so let the games begin.
He gets there rather quickly
I jump out of the car
Telling him meet me in 110,
and first get himself a drink at the bar.
I don't turn back to see if he listened
I just dash up towards the room.
And lock myself inside the lavatory
with a descending feeling of doom.
I stare into the dirty mirror
and rub color into my cheeks.
I know I can do this,
and then Kennedy will be fed for weeks.
I walk out of the bathroom
the man is laying on the bed.
I feel as if there is something familiar
about the mop of hair on his head.
He gestures me to move closer
though the room is dark.
He pats the space in front of him
and that's where I park.
I flick on the bedside lamp
and his eyes fly to my scar
He starts to scramble away from me
saying he left something in the car.
I know that he is lying
but I cannot let him leave.
I beg him to stay for a good time
meanwhile I can barely breathe.
"Please stay here with me,
I can make it worth your while."
He says to trust him, that I can't
and gives me a shaky smile.
I scream I need this money
to feed my baby sis.
He places a wad of bills on the bed
and gives my forehead a kiss.
"Thank you sir," I call excitedly,
"Though I wish I could give you somethin"
He says his name in fact isn't sir but....
"Christopher. Christopher Hawkins."
With that he is out the door
and leaves me to count the cash.
$752 for absolutely nothing,
I give a hysterical laugh.
I'm up and dressed then out the door
before he could change his mind.
Not remembering the last time
anyone had been so kind.
I'm so happy right now! I may not have
to do this for a while if not never again.
And then I think if not his face...
I remember someone named like him...
Twelve years earlier
"Christopher Hawkins? What are you doing?
NO!." Her mother's voice in her brain.
She isn't quite sure what is happening,
and then she is unbearable pain.
(>.<)
I don't even want to imagine what would of happened if they did...lol.
