Tale of the Dove

Tale of the Dove

In the sunlight flows the river

And in the river flows the light

And in the darkness

There's a riddle

And in the riddle

There's a rhymn

And in the rhymn

There's no context

And in the context

No design

And from the clouds so high above us

Are the words so high above

As in the depths of the shadow

Appears a Ravin - kissed the Dove

And the Dove shined so brightly

That her wings did blind the sun

And the sun bowed the gesture

That the riddle came undone

That the riddle was so simple

Only the simple think it of

And as they kneeled for deliverance

The innocent children - the youngest ones

Tried to hold back their laughter

Of the laughter that begun

And the laughter quickly vanished

As the laughter turned to love

As, As Love, be the answer

To the tale of the Dove
