A Better Kept Pain

I can't change the distance, so why do I sit here with it. Like I miss it, like I don't know what to do, yeah it's true. Like where is my head now?

 

I couldn't fix it, so why should I be complicit, when I looked you dead in the eyes, I meant it. Burn it to the ground, I'm a ghost and this distance is profound

 

I'm changing with the seasons, cause I couldn't make summer stay, and for all we know, it's better off this way.

 

So much was wasted, but I made it, I have to shut up, sit down, and face it. We couldn't change it, but for all we know what we was mistaken, we was better off replacing

And quite amazing once we get to know people how long a stretch of years this couold be kept! Reminds me of Ms Havisham of Great Expectations fame.
