Dear to Your Heart

Folder:
Things to Ponder

Relish the things you hold dear to your heart,

Your life, your parents, and the fact you are smart.

Remember the times you have when you’re young,

The people you’ve met, the songs that you’ve sung.

Remember the things that you gave to your friends,

Forget about all the money you spend.

Think about the future, but remember the past,

Be healthy, be strong, and your life will last.

Give to the poor, and be kind to the meek,

If someone strikes you down, just turn the other cheek.

Don’t worry about old father time,

And when you get sad, just think of this rhyme.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is a simple poem about life's little treasures.  Rather it be somethinng big, or something small, relish everything.  Even if something bad happens, be thankfull it wasn't worse.  And the number one rule of life: if life deals you lemons, don't b**ch about it, make some lemonade!!!
