I guess we took a wrong turn on the road to forever
and even though I want to be, we won't be together
We both got a little lost and things were getting rough
the weight was getting heavey and we both had enough
I guess we could have stuck it out and maybe lasted longer
but time was passing slowly and we weren't getting any stronger
I felt that we were drifting off, into a sea of confusion
I tried to shake it off, the thought of an illusion
Boy I tried to stick it out, I tried to ignore it and believe
but from my past mistakes for a moment I would grieve
I begged you to change my mind, just remind me who you love
but I guess things were changing and I was undeserving of
I can't change your mind, on what has already has been done
but I can say I'm sorry, I promise you that hun
We both do stupid things but why? that's a mystery
but once forgiven and forgotten we leave it history
We may have took a wrong turn onto a crooked path
but we can always make a new road if we do the math...
