When you know thats what I need
Why do you laugh when I do
When it comes straight out of the blue.
Your inclination to shake your head
At my feeble attempts to lead you to bed
What can I do, how can I live
With a man who thinks I have nothing to give
Nothing to give to the country and life
When all I am trying, is to avoid strife
My heart on my sleeve my soul on the line
When our political discussion make you disinclined
Disbelieving and shaking your head
When I say I love you lets go to bed
You agree yet you don't and you hope
I won't sink the country thats barely afloat
With my liberal ideas and my "I love you's".
