Seagull Pain
Scared and scattered
Panicked and abandoned
Gulls like words fly
Outward aand seaward
as I gaze at the waves
and scatter my thoughts
Seaward and outward
Sudden burst of flight
my perch upon the broadwalk
becomes a snowy dance
of feathers and culls
echo like mariners' tales
upon my thoughts
of grief and loss.
Loss turns to terror
Terror turns to loss of
Self in a pathos of whys
Beating against the brain
Not in your control
Not in your control
The migration
of the birds.
Not in your control
Not in your control the beating
against the brow the brain the chest
flapping and squawking
Stop Stop Stop
The gulls chaos magnifies
The chaos inside.
The chaos inside
Draining and dampered
Abandoned and panicked
The broadwalk is silent now
Distant culling and waves rocking
Juxtaposition the symphony
of self made noise
Inside my mind. Quiet now
Quiet now
I crumble inward.
One poem for, insert name, written
for one man, insert place here,
in a time, season picked
and mood, emotion decided here,
I can't keep at it, decision made.
Gentle Kiss
gentle flutter kisses
taste and feeling
shimmer through feelings
shivers down her spine
to her toes
up to her heart
out through her soul
to his
all in the gentle
flutter of
kisses
