I am dumb, no, uninformed

Teach me

So I have knowledge.

But,

I should know these things 

intuitively,

I, of modest intellegence.

And yet,

I still pick my teeth

on TV.

 

 

 

Author's Notes/Comments: 

Having thoughts about having this conversation with my friend, the director over Skype: "I am surrounded by all these gifted poets and artist and I write with no formal poetic education from the heart.  I want you to teach me what you mean by metaphorically rhyming."  I am eating an apple and picking the peel out of my teeth with my thumbnail as I think about talking to him face to face. That is me.  All my pretense at intellect and I still pick my teeth on TV.
