Careening and booming around the sky.

Lightening and darkening in a staged performance,

Chasing the audience under tents of newsprint

To shelters of tin that respond in cadence.

A nightly occurrence, a daily endurance

The rains and thunder filling the fields

Sometimes violent, sometimes a caress.

Summertime in the heat 

Scaring the sun away.
