Peeping

I can see into your heart
Without you knowing
I don't call it peeping,
I call it showing.
I never infringe against your free will
I only show myself within the calm & still
I'm peeping into your life,
To show you what it's like
To be a child of mine

I was there while you grew,
I was there while you slept.
I was there when I knew
That for your pain you wept.
I watched over you
Through the good times & the bad
I was peeping down on you
And hugging you when you were sad.

I'll always be there for you,
This I want you to know,
I'll never leave nor forsake you,
My kingdom to you I will show.
You are my child, no matter what you do
And always remember, I love you.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is perhaps one of my favorite poems I've done so far.  I wrote this with my sister during one of our usual poetry sessions.
