When the lights are shining bright and the stars hide

there's nothing more I want to do, than walk with pride

but the fear swells up deep inside and I don't know what to do.

I cried out for help but no one came, I was alone too

I sat of the roof as the world collapsed,

waiting to be swollowed whole

when the darkness came and all went black

a light began to shine through.

The chaos errupted like Vesuvius

spewiong forth debris and death.

Until everything around me was covered with ash.

then a hand came down, reached out to me

pulled me out of certain death

took me in and held me close

and cared about what was left.

Now my friend, cares for me

no matter how scared I am

I just go to her and feel okay

safe once again.
