Straight from the heart

In the lonely cold weather I switch-off the lights,

Close my eyes lying in bed in the night.

Your voice whisper sweet words to my ear,

Lines of eternal love… so I want to hear.  

 A burning body covered with thin satin,

Die to be in your arms for everlasting.

You touch deep….my heart for a reason,

It’s love……no it can’t be only for the season.

A brave soldier I thought you would be,

What went wrong please tell as I could not see.

A sullen uncertainty surrounding me,

Darling it’s painful and thorny… but too hard to plea.
