in anguish, in despair (your coming, my saving grace)
life lifted into vibrant light, dazzling colors
(your smile, my smile, our perfect collision)
a bullet to the heart of me, blood fanning out
across my chest, spreading through thin fabric
(a promise-no, a vow- neverending thought)
all those reasons were nothing (not then not now)
until there was you, there was darkness.
writhing in agony on a floor unkempt,
tears filling empty eyes.
nights living comatose (so close yet so far)
until there was you.
"you are the only reason i am.
you are all my reasons.
