So today I'm given another day

Reflections of past

That will not go away





Almost three years

Seems like forever

And the trail of tears

Has disappeared into a vapor





Grass is still green

And blue is still true

Thoughts of the past

Of things unwilling to last

Garner themselves

Tucked away inside

Hidden from view





Today, I thank the Lord

Hath given me another day

Shared in his plan

And some say

Twas never meant

For me to understand





Still, the water flows

Down this stream called life

I capture this moment to memory

Constant, changing,...everlasting
