rapture guardians

spin the words, wrap them around
my throbbing neck
metaphorical tourniquet
revelation soaked
in sulphur, set fire
ashes persist long after
the flames retire
vapor gaze blinding
the emmence population
visions blaspheme
with intense fascination

ground starts to chatter
as clouds part ways for
arrival
for one made of light
and deafening sound
bringing forth peace
with wrath pouring down

devastation
with no moral intent
curse the foundation
begin sinking in
recreation
hammer the nails through
impulses origin

extending my reach from mind's eye
far past the earth into hurting sky
storms bear a sacred child as written
but still-breathing air will always be hidden

temples buried beneath
the stones engraved sanctity
guardians unearth prophecy
of the coming of one whom makes three

If your mirror doesn't find you one of the most beautiful people it has ever seen, punch it and find a better mirror.

A very keen perception.

Great image!

I like your poem a lot, but I think the whole rapture event is more gradual than people think. I believe it's happening now as we know it, what with all the wars and natural disasters happening so often and close together, I think we are in rapture right now. :) Thanks!
