I jumped off a cliff
Waiting to plummet to the distant, unforgiving Earth
But my wings arose
Awakened by the fierce winds
Strong as the hate that still separates people even to this day
They carried me to the azure sky
Overlooking the sea stained with the blood of men
Black as the depths of hell
Beautifully decorated in all its feathers
Yet, magistic in all its power
I soared freely
Remembering the floods of tears of the ones who will never be forgotten
As their freedom was stripped away
And their families broken
And finally it dawned on me
Like the rising sun
My life is worth living
Not only for myself
But also for my forefathers
Who dreamed of my bright future
Living Is Better
