Inside a store
Flashbacks of home pierce the heart
Burnt right in the back of your mind
Memories so close to the heart
(Screaming) So close to the heart
Tonight just like every other night
Tonight just like every other fight
No true love do they seem to express
Just fake faces, fake acting to only cover the mess
Can't seem to heal
Never does it change
Every few months
The same old fight starts again
A permanent photo album
of everything that's happened in your time
How can I escape this?
When this hate is embedded in your mind?
Nothing seems to stop this
And it starts all over again
Nothing seems to stop this
(Screaming) Screaming for a change
Tonight just like every other night
Tonight just like every other fight
No true love do they seem to express
Just fake faces, fake acting to only cover the mess
Can't seem to heal
Never does it change
Every few months
The same old fight starts again
I've been there where you were/are. I know all about the every few months scene. Thank God, he heals all hurts we bring to him, and he even removes the pain of the memory.
You have been blessed with the ability to vent your inner turmoil through the gift of writing. Not everyone can do that. They hold it inside, and others wonder why they are sooo angry. Your words can help to open them up, and if they choose, they can begin to heal.
You have a ministry to the confused and wounded souls who are still trying to run from the memories of life at home.
