Sometimes the colors we seek are as valuable

as they are valued

right above our heads

kaleidoscopes of wisdom,

revoking ignorance, 

ever-present

What to do?

Revel

or bleed

if need be

in silence

for starters 

then read the terrain 

gather resources

assess and sustain

learn the land in-hand

scarred vines as veins

to ascend above a canopy of yore

where you blossom truth in hue

and adorn

the most luscious shade of crimson 

to pump the richest blood through 

the newly-minted

kaleidoscope of you
