It seems to me the first step
to resolve your differences
to bury your past
to open your heart again
and all the other important things
revolves around true determination
more truthful than finally deciding what's for dinner
more truthful than being honest with your parents for the first time
...more true than I am with myself a majority of the time...
a level of honesty than requires yearning
courage, hunger, devotion
a reality that shakes the foundations of our conformity
our normalcy
where 'being cool' bends to submission
and great moments result from quiet, confident supervision
like a faith
because nobody knows where we're going
but with resolve, the map will present itself
the only thing standing in your path
is the fear of no
Yess!
Yess!
Don't let any one shake your dream stars from your eyes, lest your soul Come away with them! -SS
"Well, it's love, but not as we know it."
Fear No...
Embrace yes. Loved your "confident supervision". Taking charge of the decision matrix to build and not be mean, to elevate and not destroy or harm. A faith, indeed. - Stella
thank you, the line that
thank you, the line that follows 'confident supervision' took me the longest time to decide upon by far. I originally had two other iterations using different similes, I think one was 'like an owl in the moonlight' ...but I felt it kinda took the writing in an unintended direction. I'm guessing I'll tinker more another day but thank you for mentioning that part of the writing specifically, take care :)
