I think Forrest Gump said it best,
'I'm not a smart man, but I know what love is.'
...and I do.
I remember passion with purpose
so thick I could dip it out of the sky with a ladle
when a first date was exciting
not weighted by too much expectation or fear
clear, sensible electric
love, upon reflection
that brings a big grin to my face
communicative love
mutual love
with meaning
as unapologetic as it was terrifying
Doors opened warmly for the first time
door slammed shut for the last time
I felt it all.
and I left it behind some years ago
to cope solely, with various numbing agents
forming a thick callous of skepticism along the way
for anybody who dared challenge my heart again
My legacy on this planet may not come from
offspring
or a singular love
and that's undoubtedly an obstacle to endure
but only when no chance remains
Until then
I offer what I have to those without
and collapse some days between
but I'm still breathing
and any attempt to thwart
my shaded heart from beating
will prove
your will power
all but
fleeting
"I am devoid of judgement without context"
If only everyone was like that, the world would be more communicative and less non-fact based word of mouth gossip twitter. Up lifted, I am, after reading this joyful articulation by and of a man in the 21st Century.

I wish that too... I try to,
I wish that too... I try to, not perfect but it's worth a shot
thanks again as always
