Seeing Our Colors

Folder:
2013

There's nothing spiritually preventing ourselves
from what we pursue

Only the failings define where,
or if the border lies

Destruction often required for rebuilding
can be mired in red tape and building permits
acquired by former tenants for years

But wear no angst
straighten furrowed brow
and build a two-lane road
to discover your home.

Let the family dig alongside
and lay under your canvas when exhausted

Over the covered wagon
leaning toward a sunset for splendor
seeing our colors and
allowing the prisms
to pierce something organic

Please render this kaleidoscope
an eternal resonance
