Spirit Soliloquy

Folder:
2013
Expect next to nothing from the opposite sex, or from anyone really.. rely on yourself because perfect expectations can become the ultimate letdown and they can eat away at your logic and reasonability.

What works best for me (after much analysis and life experience) is to alter your own values, build your spirit/character and limit nearly all judgment until someone's actions speak louder than words.....and they will eventually, I assure you.

These beliefs collectively help your cause in two major ways

One, they mitigate the possibility of being over-analytical in most situations. They prevent you from reasoning yourself out of opportunities, essentially.

Two, for me, being objective and reactionary by nature instills a mental placidity, which helps generate resilience to face the burden of being struck down repeatedly..and still getting back up to embrace another one of life's chapters.

Those who don't understand this level of resiliency simply cannot understand the complexities of, or the potentials contained within the human spirit.

It's so important to not lose your spirit, because that will always be your most valuable asset. Don't allow somebody to take it from you - many devious, insecure being often do, collecting them like currency, or trophies on a mantlepiece

but don't allow it.

Spirit is priceless in that within it, the notions of fantasy can become reality. In other words, events can morph from 'what if' to 'remember when,' so to speak.

And when all else fails, your spirit can provide much-needed hope, too.

In the meantime, holding onto, strengthening, and VALUING your spirit will garner wisdom and serenity, giving you the conviction to 'stand still' ...for years on end, if need be.

But keep your eyes open, because you may need to be ready to embark upon new opportunities at a moment's notice..and sometimes your only shot will come and go in a flash.

To me, I figure that while my life will

plateau

at certain times, my spirit is continually improving regardless of my 'exterior being' ...so it's always a net gain over time if I give myself that credit and I am tireless in the pursuit of learning.

Just my interpretation of the truth

it's not drenched in ego, nor is it set in stone

but I hope if anything, these words may help the aimless, or those who aimed and missed, even repeatedly to see they aren't alone in their daily struggles.

I can certainly relate... stay strong folks
