Swapping Paints

Folder:
2012

I touch the active skin on this dance floor
Gulping one adrenaline-infused chalice after another
All cups waiting to be refilled
Lapping, lapping the surging nectar from your pores

Tasting the moonlight
A night of infinite possibilities
and finite motives

Taking all prisoners
and making no promises

Recklessly swapping paints -
We make artwork of ourselves -
and tell no one
of the canvas that would make O'Keefe blush

Author's Notes/Comments:

Actually wrote the first draft of this on Valentine's Day 2012 - added a lot to it 6.1.12

Subtle

~~we make artwork of ourselves~~ is a fine line. Two commas and one dash, the caps start each new line - very neatly developed way using natural stops (caesura) and line
breaks to create continuity and melodious often subtle cadences - intriguing - allets
