I question the authority of balance

For the people that need

a stable ecosystem to succeed

While the others, somehow so able,

fucking breed power so willingly, fulfillingly

The same people that have been verbally ensnared by solo-longing
without enduring reverberation despite confessing their soul

The same people that have built from the ground up
then forced to foreclose

Whatever potential mystical powers

that reside upon the fate of my survival
may continue to oppress my stature on this planet

but they will never strike down any element of mine that cannot be revived
because my spirit is priceless
and the engine's full throttle

I'm going to let the life drip like a serum,
a prodigal ooze

For when you clasp one hand over the other
and slide the top hand down to the bottom hand's fingers
I'm left with a respectable amount
Of leaked creativity, spontaneity, whimsy, and hellfire
Primed and ready at my disposal

And while I question the authority of a life balance
I will not accept mediocrity existing in the same realm
as merely maintaining peace of mind and whereabouts

Instability is your life in motion

Placidity is your strife's notion

It's up to you to know

for yourself

the difference.

took me a couple hours to sort though my thoughts on this one but it came together pretty fast

Breath Span

I would like hearing you read this poem - you have interesting syntax - off kilter, not balanced, that would be boring and normal - exemplary title and content - allets

thank you very much

I'm flattered by your kind words, thank you so so much - and it's really great that you mentioned the syntax/delivery of this piece...it's funny because every time I read this back and consider reading it aloud, the first cadence that pops into my mind is a speaker like Martin Luther King (I am in NO way comparing myself/my oratory or writing skills to him, just an observation) - call me crazy maybe? I hear a strong-willed, confident, forthright voice behind this.. and I know I'd much rather fall into that category than any other alternatives - again it really makes me proud that you would be interesting in hearing it aloud, thank you genuinely
