Roland Deschain of Gilead, A Tribute

Folder:
Other

Does a man,
one such as Roland,
exist?
A man with such stamina,
to travel those long miles.
Such determination,
with much skill.
Fingers trained,
ears, eyes, and nose.
Such speed,
his hands a blur,
gunshots shattering,
at the ears.
Such love, young Susan,
seen at the window,
her hair let down.
Still remembered, still loved,
through many years,
and many beds.
Such loyalty,
such honor and grace.
Going to the Tower,
in the name of his father,
his mother, the others.
His teacher, Cort,
who helped him,
shaped him.
His friends, who he lost,
and mourns the loss of every day.
No.
No man such as he exists.
And yet, yes he does.
In the minds, and
maybe even hearts,
of the many who
have read his tale.
Who shared his pain.
Who perhaps felt sorrow,
when he met the end,
that the great writer, mayhap Gan,
had written.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I think this is a bit better, if not a lot better. A bit better worded hopefully, a bit more smooth. So yeah! Hope you like it even if you might not know who he is.
