Hush my boy, and I'll tell you some tales
Where God wins and Satan fails
I know one you might enjoy
SIt on my lap, theres a good boy
It happend many years ago
A widowed man was trudging through the snow
On his way he saw two travelers
He thought them to be friends, or as lovers
A man in black and a woman in white
They appeared to be in a fight
He called out to them HO!
They turned to look and wouldn't you know
One was Satan and the other an angel
The man in black turned with the face of the devil
He smiled and asked Are you cold, good sir
If you go this way I'll give you a fur
You'll love it, it's very nice and not too costly
Put it on, it will warm you nicly
The man was tempted, he reached with greed
But the angel had what he really needed
She said No I have the right path
If you go with me you'll see Her at last
If you follow him you'll never see Her
And she'll be lost for ever!
Come, we'll find your true lover
And you'll be happy forever
The man stopped and faced the heavanlly figure
And then they set off together
When they reunited there love was strong
And the man knew that he hadn't picked wrong
The warmth of their love turned the snow to rain
Drenching the devil has he howled in pain
Ahh look at him, he's fallen asleep
At least he didn't see me weep
I guess I'll take him up to bed
And pray this lesson stays in his head
