I see you in the dark

Always just out of reach

Shining light in an ark

Too powerful to leash



In my dreams you're always there

Just beyond the break

Floating in the air

Mocking the love I long to make



So now I've lost all hope

For the cross is burning bright

I'm struggling to stay afloat

In this abyss of the night



Flipping me around

And messing with my mind

Your will has been unbound

And love for me was a lie



Why do you keep me so distant?

Why so far away?

For this moment is reminencinent

Of something earlier this day



I strive to share your fate

I try to unwaver and be true

But I can't avoid my hate

And my undying lust for you



At the end I am confused

Not enough and too much

I hope I don't realize I'm being used

By the one I long to touch
