Jenna and Tom were the newest more lovable husbands anyone could ever picture. The couple had just been married, the wedding was spectacular, and their futures seemed in technicolor. Jenna and Tom seemed meant to be like their friends and family described “a match made in heaven”. Physically the couple looked alike, they both had dark hair and a beautiful pair of full eyebrows. Emotionally they both seemed like sugar and honey were spilling out when they were together. They only spoke kindly of each other, they were envied by the whole society of the small town of Monclova. The couple had planned their honeymoon since Tom gave Jenna the engagement ring. Since Tom was an architect, he had the desire to visit Paris and Jenna was just worried to please her husband. Just like any other middle-high class couple, they scheduled a tour around the city. Everything seemed just right, they were the lucky ones people said. When they arrived in Paris, they decided to walk around the Champs Elyse for their first day, then go to dinner to a nice bistro near the river. Tom locked his eyes on Jenna and said: “I constantly pray we last forever”. Jenna was lost in the eyes of Tom and thought to herself, “indeed we are the lucky ones”. The next day in the morning the couple woke up early in order to catch up on the tour. The guide was a woman in her early 50’s, she seemed like she was a strict woman but with a funny smile. Tom and Jenna sat on the bus waiting for the other tourists to join. Then a tall, brown-skinned guy entered the bus and Tom just stared at him. Jenna noticed that the man was traveling alone and decided to be kind and greet the man. The man was very nice and started to have a pleasant conversation with the pair, then said “My name is John, and what a nice couple you are. You make me want to fall in love again”.
The day passed nicely, the couple and John were together the whole days. They chatted and Jenna felt a connection with Tom, like the brother she never had. At the end of the day, the three of them agreed to have dinner together. The conversation was amazing, it seemed like they were friends since childhood. The next days went perfectly, the couple took many photos with John. They were truly happy, until that night… Jenna and Tom arrived at their hotel room very exhausted from walking all day, still, Jenna proposed going to a bar and have a private time, Tom refused in a nice way “Jenna my love, I’m just so tired maybe tomorrow”. Jenna and Tom went to sleep. In the middle of the night, Jenna woke up and saw Tom missing. She panicked, but then remember Tom liked to smoke in the night, just a weird habit of his. The next morning Jenna woke up early to get breakfast and Tom was there lying on the bed, so sleepy so she decided to go alone. She saw John at breakfast and decided to sit next to him, he looked so pale. She decided not to ask what was wrong, in order to give him some privacy. When Jenna went to get some coffee a lady from the same tour told her: “Jenna I know we don’t know each other, but I saw Tom and John together last night, I think you should know”. Jenna was so innocent she ignored the comment, it was just a cigarette, right? Maybe John smokes too. The same dynamic happened the following nights, and Jenna began to be suspicious. Would they go and get French prostitutes together? Jenna couldn’t keep her curiosity to herself and decided to sneak and follow Tom. She never saw coming what happens next.
Jenna sneaked out from the hotel and saw Tom and John kissing passionately. Her heart broke and decided to leave in order to cry and yell in the most painful way. How could they do this to her dream honeymoon? To her lovely marriage? This will be the end, of everything, of my whole life.
