A place I know the God's Walked

Folder:
My trashcan poetry

twelve thousand feet up
high above the tree line
I can see forever from here it seems
the tundra is alive with it's flowers of
pink yellow blue purple and red's
their scattered as far as you can see
far to the north I can see the medicine bow
mountains from here

it's summer but the wind is cold up here
but I don't mind
in my minds eye I erase the road below
I wipe away the scar where the power line
zig zags up and down till it reaches civilization
I pretend I don't see the tourists on a trail below
I close my eye's and listen to the wind
as it sends a shiver down my neck
I smile to no one but myself
that may be a god's cold breath

when I open my eyes I can see
how this country must of looked before
even the old ones from before walked
this land

the wander lust in my blood is at a fevers pitch
I was born at least a hundred fifty years to late

it could of been no less than spiritual
to of been among the moccasins that
walked here first

A place I know the God's Walked

Author's Notes/Comments:
Once You have the Rocky Mountains in Your blood It haunts You till you go back .....
I was a Good Person when I Was Out in the Wild ......
Civilization turned Me into the Animal .....
I hope to make it back before My times up
