in fields of green I lay
laying beside her we watch the clouds
drift on by
I want to hold her close but I'm to damn
scared to make the move
I'll settle for just holding her hand
cause I don't want this feeling to ever end
in fields of green I lay
watching the clouds pass on by
trying hard to understand what went
so wrong
she says she can't love me the way
I love her
for the life of me I can't tell you why
in fields of green I lay
looking back on life as it rolled by
the things I won don't outnumber
all that I've lost
I got medals an awards hanging on the wall
for the things they said was brave
but they don't mean shit when your alone
in fields of green I lay
wishing I'd made the move
just to see where I'd be today
when I die
in fields of green I want to lay

I love the flow your poems
I love the flow your poems have sometimes, like how the clouds roll and life rolls and the fields roll, and how you can lay in the fields now and want to lay in them dead, just the juxtaposition of how you would be laying in both instances, I just enjoy that functionality in your writing
'I got medals an awards hanging on the wall
for the things they said was brave
but they don't mean shit when your alone'
I loved those lines they ring so true

If would be so nice to lay in
If would be so nice to lay in Fields Of Green forever.
However I guess that is impossible. Life must go on.
This is very touching, well written verse. I enjoyed
reading. The feeling the reader gets from reading is
soothing. tc. heather
