My friend look away as I ride by
wipe the tears from your eyes

seem's like most my life has been spent
somewhere between right an wrong
a square peg
they'er trying to beat into a round hole
I should of ran while I still could
I could of save'd myself a lot of trouble
an a heartache along the way

I'm not looking for love anymore
I'm just looking for something else
maybe someone more damaged than me
to pretend they need me
even if it's only for a time

perhaps I was meant to be something different
but it's to late for me now
to many things have been altered from
the time when you knew me
an who I am now

I'm damaged way beyond anyone's
comprehension
an I carry way to many scares
but it's okay I'll survive

so my friend look away as I ride by
