I feel so invisible
lost in the darkness
a dead man walking
searching
the destination still unknown
in pursuit of reality in a fantasy world

people with painted smiles asking
if I've lost my mind
men of god hiding their sins behind their robes
forgiving me of mine but don't forget to leave
money in the till

listening to the shadows
I thought I heard her calling my name
a voice from the past
so long ago she broke my heart
but I love her just the same

what might have been we'll never know
but I've got dreams
I try to recall
but when I wake up their gone

am I just madman wondering why
no one can read between the lines
is humanity blind
I scream but no one hears
I cry but no one see's the tears
when I walk away no one say's goodbye
