a cold wind blowing from the north sending shivers down my spine
reminding me It's just the fact of life that we all have to live with regrets
I see so many sad people I connect to
for I'm broken myself
I wonder what they must've been thinking In their last moments
knowing there's not a damn thing to be done as love walks out of their life
anger ?
lost ?
denial ?
alone ?
feeling empathy for everyone
but damning oneself
a cold wind blowing from the north sending shivers down my spine
reminding me It's just the fact of life that we all have to live with regrets

Less regret than just senseless losses - the people I have lost over the years, the never destined to happens, the dreams deferred...but less regret than a sigh at might have beens. - cuz what did occur is what I got and it ain't as bad as it could have been so I smile. No regrets - not one. - slc
