they say broken hearts slowly mend

I have seen it all
all which is now
all that will be
and all that has come before
I ache for that which is unattainable
as the years flow by into the next
I remember your voice
the touch of your hands
the feel of your skin
the taste of your lips
the scent of your hair
with a calloused heart
wounded
guarded
silent
all hidden
behind pain
my life now is a heart wrenching emotional
roller coaster of fear of being alone ,
there's sadness, a passion that won't die
happiness and desires wrapped in dreams
that will never again be
only a deep ache for forbidden love

they say broken hearts slowly mend
but I think true love never dies

The misery of love is a self

The misery of love is a self feeding flame, you can't put it out and it dies very slowly.

I Hear So Much Sadness In This Poem

Love does not want the heart to mend sometimes - probably often. There is a chasm full of broken promises and dreams, hopes, and aspirations somewhere. - allets -
