waves of shimmering light shining like diamonds
off the colorado as it flows by
the sound of her pouring herself over the rocks
is part of a larger symphony that most never her
near water's edge under tall cottonwood I sit while watching
as a gentle breeze pushes a leaf into flight
it gently spirals into the water floating it's way to it's destiny
as a piece of that song
sitting on the dock of the bay
crosses my mind
"looks like nothin's gonna change
everything, still remains the same
I can't do what ten people tell me to do
so I guess I'll remain the same
sitting here resting my bones
while this loneliness won't leave me alone "
it's been years since those days
It makes me wonder if everything
still remains the same
or just like everything else it's just faded memories
