The Ramblings Of A Madman the emptiness won't relent
I've tried in vain to rid myself of the memories
that hang on the hallway wall's of my mind
but devotion raises it's stubborn head each
an every time I try
tightening its grip into a stranglehold
profusely refusing to give a inch
I have weeped many a intimate memory
withIn each and every tear that falls
tears that have slowed over time but haven't
stop falling
I gaze at visions frozen in still framed moments
trembling with fractured emotions
fear of letting go
fear of not letting go
fear of the unknown
maybe fear that I will get over her ?
